Ход урока.
1 Мотивационный момент (тема урока, цель, ход урока).
Students of our school are taking part in many projects. One of them is “150 cultures of the
Don”. I offer you to look at the picture and try to predict which culture we are going to talk
about. Listen to the text and say if you are right.
Аудирование текста направлено на то, чтобы учащиеся поняли, о культуре какой страны
идет речь. Восприятие
факта культуры как ценности.
It is an independent state which is situated nearly in the centre of Europe. It borders Ukraine - in
the south, Poland - in the west, Lithuania and Latvia - in the north, Russia - in the east. The
capital of the country is Minsk. There are a lot of rivers and lakes in the country. It is famous for
its forests and birch woods. It is the country with very rich cultural heritage. A lot of monuments
are situated on its territory. It is a very interesting country from the tourist point of view. The
Byelovezhskaya Pushcha is among its sights. You can see different animals there. Alexander
Grigoryevich Lukashenko is the Head of the state. Belarusians make up a significant part of the
population of Russia. In some areas of the Rostov region, there are entire territories where many
generations of Belarusian families have been born, grew and have been living for decades. So, in
the Zernograd district it is the Rossoshinsky farm. For the first time immigrants from Belarus
came here in the 30s of the last century in search of work.
Which culture are we going to talk about? What are we going to do at the lesson? What are we
doing it for?
2.1. Основная часть урока. In youth magazines you can read essays about the places
teenagers live in. Read one of the teenager’s opinions. How does the girl feel about the
country?
Детальное чтение помогает учащимся осознать факт культуры как ценности в системе
своей ценности. Учащиеся пытаются понять точку зрения своих сверстников.
A.
I really love Belarus, because I was born and live here. Our country is boasting of its
natural beauty. There are a lot of rivers and lakes in my country. In every corner of my
wonderful homeland you can find many unusual landscapes and funny animals. On the
outskirts of our city there is a small forest where you can gather berries and mushrooms.
Every summer we go there to admire nature. We often see deer and moose, squirrels and
sometimes hares. Most of all I remember birds. They are always different, with unusual
colors and funny voices. And every time the forest presents me and my parents more and
more surprises. In order not to forget all this magic, I often take pictures of nature.
B.
I cannot but admire the nature, the culture and the history of my country. The Republic of
Belarus is rich in sights. Among them there are many natural wonders, castles. What can
you see in Belarus? The Belovezhskaya Pushcha is worth visiting. Only here you can see
trees ages several centuries old and bisons. The Great Patriotic War is the most tragic
page in the history of Belarus. Places related to the history of the war in Belarus are
"Brest Fortress" and Khatyn. They became a symbol of the inhumanity of crimes of
Nazism. The historical and architectural monuments have no equal in the world.
C.
But I want to tell about our Belarusian people. As you know, the people are very peaceful
and hospitable, in addition to this, a lot of talented people: artists, actors, sportsmen live
there. And although our country is not one of the largest and not one of the richest, there
2
are many Belarusians who in every way want to glorify our country and they get it. And
how many great sportsmen come from Belarus! Famous freestylers: Anton Kushnir and
Alexei Grishin are Olympic champions. Our hockey players are also famous. In general,
of course, hockey is a sport that is loved and appreciated in Belarus. Our people always
take part in any kind of competition: a sports competition, a song contest, an international
forum or a project. I am proud of my Motherland!

2.4. People can’t but admire those who did much for the country. Read the text to find out
who they are proud of.
A Many famous people are proud of Belarusian celebrities. Sofya Kovalevskaya was the first
female professor of mathematics. Vladimir Kovalyonok was a Belarusian cosmonaut, a scientist
in the field of military sciences. Mark Shagal a famous classic avant-garde artist was born in
1887 in Vitebsk. The village of Bychki is associated with the name of Vasil Bykov Belarusian
prose writer, playwright, publicist.
Who are you proud of? Why? (сопоставление двух культур)

National cuisine is connected with the history and the culture of people. Which dishes are
famous in Belarus?
B Belarusian cuisine is one of the most diverse on the continent. It is similar to Russian,
Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Polish, Jewish, but in its own way unique, extraordinarily satisfying and
tasty. Potatoes deserve special mention: having appeared in Belarus in the XVIII century, it
enriched the national cuisine and became the basis of many Belarusian dishes. These are the
famous draniki, pysy, dumplings, granny.
Which dishes are famous in Russia? Have you ever eaten them? Which dish do you like
them? Why ? Why not? (сопоставление двух культур)
In the culture of Belarus national traditions are strong. Which festival is celebrated in
July?
C In the culture of Belarus national traditions are strong and still popular, one of which is
Kupala. It is celebrated on the night of the 6
th
to 7
th
July. Celebration is accompanied by folk
songs, dances. Required attributes of the holiday are jumping through the fire and bathing.
Do we celebrate this holiday? (сопоставление двух культур) (video)
In this festival you can hear different folk songs. Listen to one of them and say if you like it
and explain why or why not.
2.5 Travelling is the best way to learn more about traditions. You are considering visiting
Minsk, the capital of Belarus,
and you'd like to get more information about your trip in the
travel agency. You are to ask four direct questions to find out the following:

5) accommodation
2.6 You and your friend are planning to spend a trip abroad. Discuss it. Включение в

посетить.
