There are many holidays: Christmas, New Year`s Day, Women`s Day and others. British people like to celebrate Christmas and New Year`s Day best of all. They prepare for these holidays beforehand: buy presents and souvenirs, send greeting cards and have parties. They put their best clothes on and look really nice. Every year there is a big Christmas tree in the centre of London, in Trafalgar Square. This is a traditional present from Norway to the people of Great Britain. Londoners decorate this Christmas tree , streets and their houses too. In the evening before Christmas people like to come to Trafalgar Square to look at the tree. They are very happy.
