Тема урока: «Страны Соединенного Королевства» Цель урока: обеспечить в ходе урока повторение и обобщение пройденного материала по теме, вывести на самостоятельное высказывание путем моделирования и использования вербальных опор. Воспитательные и развивающие цели: 1 Развитие мышления, памяти, внимания. 2 Активизация рече-мыслительной деятельности. 3 Формирование интереса к стране изучаемого языка и умения анализировать, сравнивать и осуществлять перенос знаний в новую ситуацию. 4 Развитие уважения к истории, обычаям и традициям других народов. Практические задачи: 1 Тренировать учащихся в умении делать связное сообщение, пользуясь ранее изученным материалом, комбинируя материал подтем и вербальными опорами. 2 Систематизировать знания учащихся о странах Соединенного Королевства. 3 Учить работать в группе, вести групповое обсуждение вопроса. 4 Учить рассуждению, характеристике. The Course of the Lesson 1 Introduction: Students watch video episodes and determine the theme of the lesson “The Parts of the UK”. Welcome to the country of great history, old traditions, beautiful sights, picturesque scenery and proud, reserved and talented people. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are parts of the same country, but they are different. Each of them has its own history, culture, traditions. And each of them has its own flag and patron saint. What do you know about flags and patron saints of these counties? Students describe flags and speak about patron saints (pictures of flags and patron saints can be seen on the wall). 2 Warm up: Students work in 4 groups. They are given extracts from the texts about England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There is some known for them information but there are some new facts about Scotland. 1 Edinburgh 2 The Castle 3 Highland games 4 Edinburgh festival 5 Edinburgh military tattoo 6 Forth Bridge 7 Highlands 8 Aviemore 9 Lock Ness Students discuss what they have seen on TV and add some information about Scotland they know. 6 Review: England. Students work in pairs. They ask and answer questions about England and discuss it in pairs. Then several students speak about England in class. 7 Conclusion: The UK is one of the greatest countries in the world. Its history dates back to the ancient times. If you travel around the country you can touch on history at every step… Samuel Johnson wrote in 1777: “When a man is tired of Great Britain he is tired of life, for there is in Great Britain all that life can afford.” England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are parts of the same country, but they are different.
